THE PRAISE-FILLED LIFE!

Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!    (Psalm 31:19)

As children of God, we should praise God for all the blessings that He lovingly bestowed upon us.

We read about King David in the Bible who enjoyed receiving such full and abundant blessings from the Lord and hence he says this, with delight.

Lord Jesus says, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Revelation 3:20). The meaning of ‘Jesus will come in and dine with us’ is that He would come and dwell with us. Every day, He will interact with us and give us what we need, from His fullness. Nobody can take away what He gives us. The Lord Jesus grants us all the blessings in full so that we could live with peace and joy, without any anxiety or fear (John 15:11; 14:27). As Psalm 23 describes, the Lord is our Shepherd, who leads us. He leads us beside green pastures and still waters. He prepares a table for us before the presence of those who hate us. He grants us special anointing and makes goodness and mercy to follow us all the days of our lives. He prepares a mansion for us in order that we would dwell with Him (John 14:2).

Only those who have tasted the love of the Lord, know how much more of blessings they can receive from Him (Psalm 34:8). Our daughter Stella Ramola, when she was a child, used to ask us to take her for shopping during holidays. When we took her shopping, she would not ask for any big or costly things. Rather she would ask us to buy her small things such as pen, pencils, erasers etc., The moment she got them, she would be thrilled and on the way home, she would leap in joy saying to us, “Thank you mummy; thank you daddy.” She would be so happy to get those small items. She would hold our hands joyously.

Yes dearly beloved, we, who have received so many benefits from the Lord should be thankful to Him (Colossians 3:15). That’s why David said, “I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth” (Psalm 34:1). Even when David was wandering in the wilderness, he sang praises to the Lord. Since he was zealous to sing praises to the Lord amidst tribulations, he received full blessings from the hand of God. God’s goodness is great as the Psalmist says in Psalm 31:19, “Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!” This day, I encourage you to sing praises to the Lord without thinking and lamenting about your loneliness, pain and suffering. Praise the Lord for all the good things that He has done to you till this moment. Then He will grant you still more grace abundantly. He will change your sufferings and will satisfy your heart. May the loving Lord continue to bless you and make your life more beautiful in His sight!
